The World Through Katies Eyes

While Sarah was here we all went out to dinner. While we were waiting for our table, Katie got a hold of the Camera and started taking all our pictures. The end result was hilarious so I though I would share.

Float Preview

On Monday the 21st we went to the float preview at the South Towne Expo Center with Sarah and my Mom. They have all the floats that are in the parade on the 24th and you can walk around and look at them up close. You also get to vote on what float was your favorite. My Mom helped build the float for their stake and so we went to see how it looked finished and of course vote for it. Bradley thought that the UPS truck with the flames on it should get his vote and Katie thought the one with the Dragon and the princess was her favorite. It was fun to see them so up close. Seeing them on tv in the parade does not do any of them justice.

Hair Cut

So I decided on a whim to cut my hair. I wasn't planning on going this short(Kay hates short hair) but if I went an inch shorter than I planned I could donate it to Locks of Love. Then when she was cutting it I told her to do what ever she wanted to, So it ended up even shorter. I am starting to get use to it and it is actually fairly easy to do. For those sho know me I have had long straight hair for years now and was worried about how I would get it to look good. I must say that it looks way better in person than the photograph.(dang its hard taking a picture of yourself, no matter what you do you still end up looking goofy. )

Sarah's Here

Every summer Sarah comes and visits home for a couple weeks.( She has made Nashville her permanent home and is loving it. ) My kids are sooo excited to see her. I don't know if its because they like to spend time with her or because she always bring them presents. I think its the first one though. This year she brought them each a pair of flip flops and some sunglasses. They always look forward to having a sleepover with Aunt Sarah. Katie had hers on Thursday night and made it a girls night,not allowing my dad or brother in the living room and made Sarah sleep on the floor with her. I know she had a blast even though Sarahs back may have been a bit sore the next day.

Bounce House

The new bounce house at Grammy and Grandpas house is soo fun. The kids played on it forever and even convinced me to give it a try. The trampoline had too many holes and wasn't safe anymore so they took it down. They suprised Katie and Bradley with the bounce house on Sunday. Thanks so much for always having great things to play with at your house, We love you Grammy and Grandpa.
